Carolny, Ardis, KD, Barbara and Carol
On Monday, February 4th, we met at Carol's home to make Valentines for the Assisted Living Centers in this area.

We were able to make over 100 Valentines, which were delivered to Assisted Living and Care Centers. Each of the residents will get a Valentine filled with love on Valentine's Day.

Love is in the air

“Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own.”
February 1st we met at Carol's home to make Valentine's for local Assisted Living Centers.  We made over 170 Valentine's that will be delivered on Valentine's Day to Senior Citizens.
Vila, Patti, Carol's lovely grand-daughters, Carolyn and Paula
Creativity abounds when you get ten women together and give them plenty of paper, lace, stickers, glue, buttons, markers and pens! We had a great time creating unique, home-made with love Valentines.  We hope those who receive them will feel the love poured into each one!

We collected and put together Birthday Kits for the Food and Care Coalition in Provo
Each kit has a birthday cake, birthday card, candles, small toy, birthday banner or decoration.  These were really fun to do!

We're turning in 23 birthday kits to the food bank today!  We basically came out even on all the things we needed for each kit-- This was a fun project!

Sharing Our Love

"What would be the cumulative effect of millions of small, compassionate acts performed daily by us because of our heartfelt Christian love for others?  Over time this would have a  transformative effect upon all of Heavenly Father's children through his extension of His love to them through us.  Our troubled world today needs this love of Christ more today than ever."  Elder Russell M Ballard, "Be Anxiously Engaged," Ensign, November 2012, 30.

Kathy, Vila, Ardis, Carolyn, Carol, Sandy and Lynn
Monday, January 7 we met at Lynn's home to make Valentine's to give to people in local care centers on Valenine's Day.  A lot of creativity and artistry was used to create over 100 Valentines.  We also collected winter coats and paper products for the Food and Care Coalition.

Aren't these Valentines lovely?  We hope they brighten up someone's day and they can feel the love that we put into them as we created them.

Caring Hearts

"Unless someone like you cares a whole lot,
nothing is going to get better. It's not."
~ Dr. Seuss' The Lorax

Tuesday, February 8th we met at Sandy's home to finish the Valentine project. We made over 200 Valentines which were placed on patient's trays at a local hospital on Valentine's Day. Our hope is that they brightened everyone's day who saw those happy red hearts! It was a great project and so many ladies commented on how much fun it was to create so many beautiful.love-filled hearts and how it always makes their day better to spend a few hours doing something kind for someone else.

We also collected dozens of muffins for the Monday Muffin project, had a lovely potluck lunch and lots of laughs!
Lorna made these beautiful Valentines as well for our "Loving Hearts" project.  Since we already had enough for the hospital trays, they were taken over to the Hospital Gift Shop, where they sold like hotcakes on Valentine's Day.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, March 1st.
