Prayers We CAN Answer

“In the end, the number of prayers we say may contribute to our happiness,
but the number of prayers we answer may be of even greater importance.”
~Dieter F Uchtdorf
Carol and Vila working hard creating toys for the tree and shape toys. for Education kits.
Six of us gathered at Carolyn's home on Monday, May 2nd for our monthly service project.  Paulette, Ardis, Carol, Vila, Carolyn and Sandy attended today.
We worked on ornaments for our Festival of Trees Christmas tree.
Our tree will have a Raggedy Ann and Andy theme.  Last year was the 100thyear  celebration of the delightful books and beloved characters created by the American author, Johnny Gruelle.

Carol made this stuffed ball to go under the tree.
We collected bath towels, 3-in-1 shampoo, disposable razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes and shaving cream for Refugee Kits that are being made by Hearts Knit Together  They do 170 refugee kits each month and do different kits for men, women and children.  They have been asked to increase the number of kits they are making to help more refugees.  Carolyn was able to tour Hearts Knit Together when she delivered the journals that we did last month.

For our potluck lunch, we had a fun Cinco de Mayo luncheon.

We will meet Monday, June 6th for our next meeting.
