Festival of Trees Report - A Gift of Love

". . . in the end, all goodness must be translated into the manner of how we treat each other, and especially, how we treat those who have for whatever reason been damaged by the vicissitudes of this world. " ~Eric Shumway, BYU-Idaho, April 1, 2003

We received this lovely letter from the Festival of Trees Executive Board thanking us for our participation in the festival, for donating time and talent to this year's Festival of Trees.  Over 100,000 people attended this year's Festival and every penny that is raised goes to help benefit children at Primary Childrens Medical Center to receive medical treatment that they otherwise wouldn't be able to have.

Carolyn reported that our beautiful tree sold on bid night for a goodly sum.  All 36 of the missionary socks we donated to the gift shop at the Festival of Trees sold , as well as the 30 dogs socks.  The fireman baby quilt and fireman book also sold; plus Carol donated many other items to the Gift Shop which also sold. All told, our combined efforts made over $1400.00.

"These were wonderful projects benefitting Primary Children's Medical Center.
Thank you, ladies, for all of your help." ~ Carolyn

Our next meeting will be Monday, January 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Barbara E.'s home.  We will be working on a quilt and putting together some of our favorite recipes for a friend.  So bring your favorite recipes you would like to share, and something for the potluck lunch.
