A Mad Hatters Tale in July

“If you don't know where you are going any road can take you there”

July 7th found us gathering at Paula's lovely historic home in Payson.  We worked on decorations for our Festival of Trees Christmas tree.  Our creative genius, Paula P,  has come up with a Mad Hatter's Tea Party theme for our tree this year and to get in the spirit of things, she hosted a Mad Hatter's Tea Party in July.
Paulette, Kathy and Carolyn - working on creative folded paper designs
Bright colored paper designs, colorful clocks, china and little bottles that say, "Drink Me!" are all part of the fun that will bring a festive atmosphere to our fourth Christmas tree.

Alice will be at home at this Christmas party, with her friend, the White Rabbit, Cheshire cat, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee and the Queen of Hearts.

Kathy and Rae Lee graciously became Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee
Paula created simple costumes for us to wear to get in the spirit of the Tea Party.
Vila - as much as she gardens, was fitting as the White Rabbit!

Paula hosted our "tea" in her lovely Fairy Garden
Surrounded by multiple clocks, British flags,  bottles shouting "Drink Me!"  we felt our characters were perfectly at home at the Mad Tea Party.

We were all afraid we were going to be late - with this many clocks around - who knows?

We enjoyed English Crumpets with lemon curd, tarts and pasties, fruit salad, veges and dip along with our tea.
