July 1st our We CAN ladies met at JoAnn Fabric Center's classroom to work on our Christmas in July projects for the Festival of Trees Gift Boutique.

 We collected children's clothing for The Christmas Box House, who was doing a "Christmas in July campaign to collect needed children's clothing to restock their resource room.  The Christmas Box House is a charity dedicated to helping children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are removed from their home and put into Foster Care.  

We started working on ornaments for our tree at the Festival of Trees. Monday, This year, we'll be doing a small five foot tree, with a musical theme.

We worked on five different "Neighbor Gifts" for the Festival Christams Boutique to sell.

Instead of a potluck lunch this time, we went to lunch together at Kneaders.  

Our next meeting will be held at Lynn's home in Payson on Monday, August 5th at 10:00 a.m.  We will be making back-to-school kits for the food bank and will be working on shape toys for the American Fork Humanitarian Center.  I think that Walmart already has their back-to-school school supply sale going...so here's a quick reminder of what you signed up to bring:

Carolyn - 3 pencil sharpeners & 10 pair of child scissors

Sharon - 7 pair of child scissors and 10 glue sticks

Kathy - 10 notebooks and 10 boxes of colored pencils

Heidi - 30 notebooks

Sandy - 9 boxes of crayons or colored pencils and 10 erasers

Ardis - 40 pens

Maureen - 10 glue sticks

Barbara - 20 tape

Teresa & Renae - 20 calculators
